Once you’ve placed an order, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive one, please check your spam or promotions folder.
When your order ships, you will get a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. Please note that changes or cancellations cannot be made after 24 hours.
Some baskets may take up to four weeks to create and ship.

shipping time estimates
We are a small business with a small team, so please allow up to 5 business days to process your order, regardless of the shipping method selected at checkout. Once processed, your order will ship using the method chosen.
Most orders arrive within 7–10 business days via UPS.
We ship Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We do not ship on weekends or U.S. holidays.
Please allow up to four weeks for our made-to-order storage baskets to be created and shipped.
tracking your package
Once your order ships, you will receive an email with a tracking number. It may take up to 48 hours for the carrier’s website to update tracking information.
international shipping
We currently ship to Australia, Canada, England, France, Italy, Portugal, and China.
Please allow up to 5 business days for processing and up to four weeks for delivery.
All orders are shipped via UPS, unless UPS does not deliver to your area. If UPS is unavailable, we will choose the most efficient carrier for your location.
Shipping costs are determined by dimensional weight and destination. Rates shown at checkout are the lowest available. We are unable to offer further discounts and do not offer free international shipping.
Shipping rates include insurance unless otherwise noted.
Customs, Duties, and Taxes
Expedition Subsahara does not determine, collect, or estimate duties and taxes for international shipments. All fees are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in shipping rates.
We cannot be held responsible for packages held in customs or for any additional duties or brokerage fees. If a package is rejected or returned to us, no refunds of any kind will be given.
If split deliveries are required, separate shipping fees will apply.
returns
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are unhappy for any reason, we accept returns for store credit within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, unwashed, and in their original condition with tags and packaging intact.
All returns and exchanges are processed as store credit, which never expires. We do not offer cash refunds or cancellations after 24 hours.
Once your item is returned, please allow 7 business days for processing. You will receive an email with a gift card code for your store credit.
Customers are responsible for return shipping and handling charges. Please include a tracking code so we can verify delivery. No returns or exchanges will be processed after 14 days.

Orders may be canceled only within 24 hours of purchase by contacting info@expeditionsubsahara.com.
After 24 hours of ordering a made-to-order storage basket, the creative process begins, and cancellations are refunded as store credit only.
All sale or discounted items are final sale.

We take great care in packaging each item, but if your order arrives damaged:

Include photos or a short video of the damage.

We will arrange a replacement or return for store credit.
Each basket is handmade, and variations in color, weave, or handle are natural and part of the beauty of handcrafted work. These are not considered defects.
final sale items
All discounted, sample sale, and seconds products are final sale. No refunds, exchanges, or price adjustments will be made.
Our annual sample sale features limited-edition and small-batch pieces. Some items may have minor imperfections that do not affect their use.
If a sale item is returned against policy, a 30% restocking fee will be applied.
