Generations of Senegalese weaving expertise has been passed down to create this exquisite woven basket. Full of culture, this basket is crafted using a coil-style weaving technique with locally-harvested elephant grass and recycled plastic to build depth on top of texture. The Sokhna is perfect to tuck away toys, pillows and blankets, or as a colorful laundry hamper.

Made to order and ships in 4 weeks

Spot clean using minimal water. Dab using a paper towel or cloth. Let sit dry completely before storing. Do not place in direct sunlight for long periods of time.

Because we are a small business and we operate with a small team, it
can take up to 5 days to process your order regardless of the shipping
method you choose at checkout. Once the order is processed, we ship
using the method you selected. Most orders take 7-10 business days to
arrive at your location via UPS.

We ship Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m CST. We do not ship on weekends or nationally recognized US holidays.

I adore this perfect basket!

I got this basket last year to store out blankets in the family room. It's so well made and just beautiful. I love supporting the Sub-Saharan basket weavers of Africa! I also love the smaller baskets and the placemats. 🥰
